PADI Scuba Diver Course

Option 1 - Referral Pool sessions and knowledge development sessions £215.00

Option 2 - Pool, knowledge development and 2 x open water training dives £295.00

Short on time and long on the urge to become a certified diver? The PADI Scuba Diver certification might just be for you. This course requires less time than the PADI Open Water Diver course, covering only the first three of five sections of knowledge development, the first three of five pool sessions, and the first two of four open water training dives, resulting in a limited certification. Particularly if you expect to go scuba diving primarily in the company of a dive guide or if you have limited time to devote to scuba certification, consider becoming a PADI Scuba Diver.

This certification allows for ample dive experience and is a good warm-up for the Open Water Diver course, if that’s your ultimate goal. PADI Scuba Divers are qualified to:

• Dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Divemaster, Assistant Instructor or Instructor to a maximum depth of 12 metres
• Obtain air fills, rent or purchase scuba equipment and participate in other diving activities as long as they have the required supervision
• Continue their dive training and complete PADI Open Water Diver certification and other courses such as Project AWARE and equipment specialty courses

• Independent Home Study (Book and DVD)
• 4 Evening Academic Training and Confined Water Training (Swimming pool session)

Pre-requisites

• No diving experience necessary
• Minimum age: 10
• Able to tread water for 10 minutes
• Complete a medical statement attached to our booking form

What happen's once I complete my Academic Training and Confined Water Training?

You have 12 months in which to complete your open water training at any PADI dive center. Please contact your chosen centre for prices as these do vary greatly.

Here at Seastyle we are more than happy to help with the referral process and also contact your selected dive center on your behalf.

You will also have the option to complete your training dives with us. You may book this option right from the start or opt to complete your dives with us upon the completion of your pool and academic training.
