Have you ever wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater. If you want to find out but aren't quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving will let you try scuba to see if you like it. Most PADI dive shops offer a version of this program, either in a pool or other body of water.

While not an actual scuba certification, during the Discover Scuba Diving experience you’ll learn how to use scuba equipment in shallow water and get a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world. Would love to scuba dive but don't want to commit to a full certification course then the DSD program is ideal! One session in the pool followed by a days diving with the option to complete up to 2 open water dives. All scuba equipment is provided and all you need to arrange is travel to and from the pool and the dive site.

The Scuba Diver course covers the fundamental diving theory and in-water skills that will permit the successful participant to dive worldwide while accompanied by a PADI professional, to a maximum depth of 12 metres. The course consists of three knowledge development sessions, three confined water/pool training dives and two open water dives conducted from the shore to a maximum depth of 12 metres. Following successful completion of the course it is possible to continue your education by upgrading to PADI Open Water Diver.
