PADI Open Water Diver Course

This is the most popular diving course in the world. The PADI Open Water Diver Course is the first full certifying course in the PADI diving education system. During this course you will learn all the skills needed to dive confidently to a maximum depth of 18 metres, independently of a dive professional.

This course, is run by our highly qualified scuba diving team and is divided into 3 areas:

  • Academic Training (independent study and instructor review )
  • Confined Water Training (swimming pool sessions)
  • Open Water Training (either with is or at a referring PADI Dive Centre of your choosing)

On booking this course, you will be issued with your course materials, which, includes self-study material we require you to read before attending your first class session. On completion of this course you will be awarded with the worlds most recognised diving qualification…………The “PADI Open Water Diver”.

Course Duration

  • Independent Home Study (Book and DVD)
  • Evening Academic Training and Confined Water Training (Swimming pool session)
  • Open water Training dives

Pre-requisites

  • No diving experience necessary
  • Minimum age: 10
  • Able to swim 200 meters non-stop
  • Able to tread water for 10 minutes
  • Complete a medical statement

Include's

  • All PADI course materials
  • All loan scuba equipment (except mask and snorkel, fins and neoprene boots)
  • 5 pool sessions
  • Pool Mini Dive
  • Dry Suit Pool Orientation if adding the Dry Suit Bolt on to your course
  • Four Open Water dives or 5 Open Water dives if completing dry suit bolt on.

PADI Junior Open Water Diver Requirements

A PADI Junior Open Water Diver between the ages of 10 and 11 years may only dive with a PADI Professional, a certified parent or certified guardian to a maximum depth of 12 metres.

What happen's once I complete my Academic Training and Confined Water Training?

You have 12 months in which to complete your open water training at any PADI dive centre. Please contact your chosen center for prices as these do vary greatly.

Here at Seastyle we are more than happy to help with the referral process and also contact your selected dive centre on your behalf.

You will also have the option to complete your training dives with us. You may book this option right from the start or opt to complete your dives with us upon the completion of your pool and academic training.

Please note that our course fees don't not include transport or dive site entry fees.
